Throughout the year, we will be focusing on various mathematical concepts and understanding the importance of math in our daily lives. I look forward to exploring these concepts together while having fun!

1st and 2nd Grades
Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of numbers and able to write/recognize numbers 1-20

Concepts will include telling time, counting money, addition, subtraction, shapes, measurement and reading graphs.

3rd and 4th Grades
Prerequisite: Students should be fluent in basic addition and subtraction and understand place value in three-digit numbers

Concepts will include telling time, counting money, division, multiplication, area, perimeter, reading graphs, fractions, and units of measurement.

5th and 6th Grades
Prerequisite: Students should be fluent in basic addition and subtraction , multiplication and division, and understand place value.

Concepts will include performing operations with multi-digit whole numbers and decimals, area, perimeter, graphing on the coordinate plane to solve real world and mathematical problems, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using fractions, and units of measurement.

6th and 7th Grades
Prerequisite: Students should be fluent in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, as well as using math equations with fractions

Concepts will include using ratios to solve problems, Dividing fractions by fractions, common factors and multiples, Solving inequalities, and analyzing qualitative relationships between dependent and independent variables.
