Elementary Art

Course Description: This foundational art course introduces students in grades 1-5 to the joy of creative expression through a variety of engaging projects and materials. Young artists will explore the elements of art–line, shape, color, texture, space, and form–while working with drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, and more. Each lesson is designed to nurture imagination, build fine motor skills, and encourage confidence in the creative process. Students will also be introduced to inspiring artists, both historical and contemporary, as they begin to recognize art as a way to reflect God’s creativity and beauty. The classroom environment is supportive, helping children develop both artistic skills and a heart of gratitude for the gifts they’ve been given. No prior art experience is necessary.
